Sinner
grew up listening to his Dad's rock and roll records. He heard
the best sounds that America had to offer, from the legendary
rockabilly rhythms of Johnny Cash to the big beat sounds of Fats
Domino (to name only a few). The songs played by these incredible
musician pioneers set a fire in him. Yet when his teen years began,
he just had to do things "his way". So after hangin'
around with "the right crowd", he soon discovered punk
rock. This expressive outlet for anger and frustration called
to him during his adolescent years. After several years of playing
hard-core punk in bands such as F.T.W., United Chaos, and Riff
Raff, Sinner had a revelation. The music he had loved so much
as a kid was every bit as rebellious as the music he related to
as a teen! As a matter of fact, the issues Jerry Lee Lewis was
singing about in 1956 were every bit as hell-raising (for the
era) as the issues Iggy Pop was singing about 25 years later.
The rebelliousness of yesteryears rockabilly had echoed through
50 years (amplified a little) but with the same message: Rock
and Roll Is HERE TO STAY!!! Sinner realized that since the "modern
music industry" always eats, digests, and craps out a floating
imitation of whatever cool new sound they can get their hands
on, he would go back to the roots of rock and roll but customize
it so folks today could relate to it...
